Our Mission:
American Indian youth are challenged with numerous academic, health, and social obstacles. Visible Horizons enhances future opportunities for American Indian youth in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area by improving their academic ability, health, social and life skills, while reinforcing their traditional values.
Our Vision:
We envision a time when all American Indian youth are healthy, well educated, culturally aware, socially adept, and career oriented.
We're proud to have the support of COMBAT

History:
Visible Horizons was founded in 1988 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of Native American youth and is the only Native American youth organization in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. In order to provide the youth with the progressive programming necessary for them to succeed in school and become healthy, productive citizens, the Indian Nations Youth Program (INYP) was formed in 1991. INYP provides cultural, academic, and life skills education for youth and their families while also supporting diversity opportunities for the non-Indian community.
